WAIVER:
All participants must sign a liability waiver form prior to entering Hoopla Island.
Children under the age of 18 must have their parent sign in their place.
PHYSICAL LIMITATIONS:
All participants must know how to swim. This activity is designed for swimmers only. If you're not comfortable not being able to touch the bottom of the lake, this activity is not for you.
The minimum age required is 6 years old with a minimum height of 1.1 meters (3’ 7”). Children ages 6-8 must be accompanied by a paying adult at a 2:1 ratio (minimum 16-year old).
Individuals subject to mobility limitations, pregnancy, prone to injury or recovering from an injury should not participate in the activity. Hoopla Island is not legally responsible for injuries. See waiver for details.
There are no official weight limits for this activity. As long as you can appropriately fit in a lifejacket, you are allowed to participate. Our largest available size is XXXL. We encourage you to bring your own if you are unsure about our sizing.
CODE OF CONDUCT
Lifejackets are mandatory. They are supplied to each participant with the price of admission. Individuals can wear their own as long as they are approved by our staff.
All participants must play responsibly, to not injure themselves or others. No excessive rough-housing or cursing/swearing will be permitted.
Drugs and alcohol are strictly prohibited. Do not consume before entry. No individual under the influence of drugs or alcohol will be allowed on the Island.
Snorkels are not allowed. Only swimming goggles that cover the eyes are acceptable. Anything larger is considered a safety hazard and will not be allowed on the Island.
No refunds will be given to individuals expelled from the Island for any of these reasons.
NO-SHOWS:
For 1-hour sessions, you must check-in at the kiosk at least 20 minutes ahead of your scheduled time to allow for payment, rule briefing, and life-jacket fitting. Day pass bookings must check in by 3pm, and Evening pass bookings must check-in by 6:15pm. No additional time will be granted for those who enter the Island after the session begins. You are considered a "no-show" if you don't arrive by the time your session starts. Unless we receive prior notice, we reserve the right to replace your spot with others waiting on standby. If you arrive late, we will do our best to accommodate your situation and fit you in a later spot, so as long as we have availability.
LOST OR STOLEN ITEMS
Watches, jewellery, keys, glasses, or any other accessory should be removed and stored prior to entry to avoid losing them. They may also be a safety hazard. Hoopla Island is not responsible for any lost or stolen personal items while in the public beach/park and while on the Island.
CLOSURES DUE TO UNSAFE WEATHER:
The activity is weather-dependant, and we will evacuate the Island in the presence of lightning, thunder, strong winds, smoky conditions, and heavy rain. We will resume operations as soon as it is safe to do so (30 minutes after thunder and lightning occur).
Should we be closed for the day due to bad weather, you will be notified by email as soon as is reasonably possible. If you're unsure about the weather, please check our website for any notices regarding sudden closures before driving out to Hoopla Island. Should we close unexpectedly, all deposits will be refunded or.
WEATHER-RELATED REFUNDS
Should we need to evacuate the park due to bad weather or injury, re-imbursements will be issued as follows:
1-Hour Sessions and Evening Passes:

Full refund within the first 10 minutes of activity.

10-30 minutes: 1-hour voucher per participant.

30-55 minutes: 50% off 1-hour voucher per participant.
Day Passes:

Before 12:00: Day-pass voucher per participant.

12:00-3:00: 50% off voucher per participant.

No refunds after 4:00pm.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Deposits of $5 per participant is required at the time of booking. All deposits are refundable if bookings are cancelled or re-scheduled prior to 24 hours from the booked session. If your session is cancelled due to the weather, or you choose not to attend because of uncertain weather patterns, this 24-hour period will not apply and you will be refunded, so as long as we are notified prior to the session start time.
Please contact us by email or phone should you need to cancel or re-schedule your booking. We encourage you to leave a detailed voicemail if we can't be reached immediately. Refunds are not remitted automatically so it is important that you notify us directly if you've cancelled your booking by yourself using your online account.
